Utilizing Meditation Techniques On your Heart Walk

Saturday, December 24th, 2011

It was as though during this meditation I used to be everyone within the supermarket and feeling what they were experiencing. And knowing why they had been feeling what it had been they had been experiencing. Like my perception of self had dissolved and my sense of ‘I’ had expanded to be everything.

This sense of becoming every thing all at the same time lasted for approximately three weeks before it slowly began to dissipate.

What was left after this encounter is the fact that there is a power. A power that is guiding every thing. I don’t know precisely what this force is however it is like every thing has it’s own natural rhythm that’s being guided by this force.

For example I also remember back then in the Forest Park there were some yellow flowers up on a sand dune. And I remember every early morning they would open soon following the sun would rise. And they would gradually start to shut once more shortly prior to dusk. That is just what they did every day.

It had been not as though they had to recollect and consciously push themselves to open and shut each day. That is just what the power was guiding them to do. And when I felt myself as the flower I got to really feel what it was to open up and shut every day. For this was my natural rhythm that the power was guiding me to do.

Similar with the ocean. Two times every day the ocean would rise and fall. It might be pulled up and sink down twice every day. Again, this really is just what the ocean did. For this was the ocean’s organic rhythm. Guided to be pulled up and guided to sink lower. Twice every day. For that’s just what the ocean was guided to do.

Comparable for the sun. And the moon. The bugs, the wallabies and also the dolphins. Each had their organic rhythm and each was being guided in their steps by this delicate pull.

What I found was that I too had a natural rhythm which was also guided by a subtle force. For I discovered my organic rhythm was to wake slightly before sunrise. To then have a rest at mid-morning. Another nap within the mid-afternoon. And then to visit bed just following the sunlight set. This is my organic rhythm. Guided from the power whenever I pay attention to it.

And from what I’ve seen, everybody has their very own natural rhythm that is also guided by this delicate force that is inside all objects of nature. And whenever you are in alignment with ‘the force’, your life works. Synchronicities turn out to be the norm. You are in the precise correct place at the precise right time. And whenever you are out of alignment with the force and your natural rhythm, that is when life tends to become hard work. When it feels like you need to push and battle to make things work.

Meditation: these techniques allow you to talk directly with the land.

Dieting For Obese Children

Sunday, December 18th, 2011

It is difficult to see so many children literally overburdening their bodies at such young ages by being overweight. These kids cannot run, jump or play with other children because their bodies just will not permit them to do so. Dieting is a necessity for these kids in spite of our best efforts to protect them from the self-esteem problems that often go together with obesity.

If you have a child that is well outside the normal weight range for his or her age, you are the one who must take the necessary steps to make certain that they shed those excess pounds in order to live a life that is as close to normal as possible. The first thing you have to do however is consult your child’s physician about the best possible course of action to look after the health of your child.

Put quite bluntly however, if you do not make the effort to assist your child to shed those pounds you are placing the health of your child at risk. We do not let our kids play in the street, we do not let them run around with guns, why on Earth would we permit them to commit suicide by chocolate? If you have a child that is overweight, the following advice should help you and them with their dieting.

First of all, do not make food a penalty or a prize. Food is part of the difficulty with your children and you should not use it against them. Instead, introduce them to healthy alternatives. Do not keep junk food in the house and do not let them purchase lunch at school. Pack their lunches for school so that you know what they are eating. If you do not give them junk food to take away and they cannot have it when at home, they will be better off.

Include healthy snacks into your family’s eating routine rather than junk food. Fresh fruit, chopped vegetables, nuts, and frozen yogurt are good healthy snacks for your kids. When in doubt, consult the food pyramid but watch calories in the process. You want your kids to eat a well balanced diet and eliminate junk food and sweets.

Cut out the juices and pop. This may be a huge problem in your house but the best gift you can offer your child is a deep and long-lasting appreciation of water. Water works to make their stomachs feel full and keeps them hydrated for the added exercises you should be introducing into their lives.

Have them take dance lessons, take up a sport, or simply get out and run around the yard. The worst thing you can do is to allow your children to become comatose television, computer, or video game zombies. Get them out of the house and get them active. This helps in two ways. First of all, they are not eating if they are outside playing and having a good time. Second, they are burning calories as they play which is a big bonus in the dieting process of your children.

As your child begins to lose weight, you should start to notice a very big change in not only the way he or she bears his or herself but also in his or her relations with others. Your child will notice a restored self-confidence as the pounds come off and the teasing at school stops.

If you are at a complete loss as to how to help your child take the weight off there are camps that are intended expressly to deal with weight problems and building self-esteem in children ages 7-19. A camp may be just the answer you are looking for. Another thing to consider is to lead by example. If you do not eat junk food, if you are active, and if you do not engage in emotional over-eating your child will not be learning those behaviours from you or having them strengthened by you.

Owen Jones, the author of this piece, writes on many subjects, but is currently involved with our blog why can’t I lose weight. If you have an interest in losing weight, please go over to our website now at Why Can’t I Lose Weight?

What Is Anger Management For Kids?

Saturday, December 17th, 2011

Anger, which is a perfectly normal emotion, can change into something frightening and ugly. The first impression you might have of anger situations may bring about images of a couple fighting, a parent abusing a child or a teenager lashing out at a teacher or a parent. Rarely will images of angry youths come to mind. Unfortunately children, at very young ages, have to cope with feelings of anger and rage. This is a truth which is often very difficult for adults to understand or cope with.

Children, young children especially, aren’t normally aware of how they feel. When a child becomes upset or mad they simply show these emotions through their behaviour. A good example of this might be a little boy in a supermarket who throws a tantrum because he’s upset. Many parents have had to deal with similar situations. It is unfortunate that often these occurrences are overlooked or dismissed because they are “just children”. Anger management in kids is as important, or perhaps even more important than anger management in adults.

A child needs instruction and guidance from their coming into the world to their entrance into adulthood. The things they learn throughout their young lives are likely to form the person they become as an adult. Therefore, anger management in children with difficulties controlling their foul temper is very important. Finding ways to teach anger management for kids does present challenges.

There are various programs made especially for children with frustration, anxiety and anger management problems. Finding one that works for a particular child might require testing many methods. Not all youths will react to the same treatment for anger management for kids. Because a child cannot always relate their feelings surrounding angry outburst, finding the right approach could take some time. Until the issue is resolved or at least controlled, it is important to continue looking.

Young kids may respond well to worksheets, games and fun activities. All of these can be used effectively to teach anger management for kids. Developing programs which incorporate each of these might be the best route to take. A child completing a worksheet, colouring sheet or participating in games and activities with underlying messages regarding anger management, may not even realize they are working on their problem.

Making the activity fun doesn’t mean that the anger issue has to be omitted. Choosing fun activities which teach healthy interaction and decision making might be good for anger management for children. Teaching them to take turns and helping them to learn that they can’t always be the best or the winner would definitely make a difference when confrontational situations occur. Little activities which instill values and positive thinking would be helpful for anger management for youths.

If a kid is old enough to talk about their anger problem, encouraging them to share their emotions is important. Suggesting they talk to someone who they feel comfortable with and trust is a good idea regarding anger management in children. Asking them to write or make a drawing about their emotions may help them reveal their underlying problems, whether it be anxiety, pain or depression.

If you can teach them to request help when they feel threatened or angry, it would certainly help the child with an anger-related problem. The important thing to realize when thinking about anger management for kids is that they are just “kids”. Their minds are not able to handle adult situations and so they will require a much more delicate approach.

Why You Should Marry a Clairvoyant

Saturday, December 17th, 2011

If you have ever wondered what exactly a Clairvoyant is and what they can really do then you want to read this article. We will discuss what an actual Clairvoyant really is and what they can do and we will dispel any false myths about the term.

The term Clairvoyant actually comes from the French. It means clear vision. A Clairvoyant is someone who can see or knows things other people can’t using a sixth sense or E.S.P.

Nowadays the term Clairvoyant can cover someone with a lot of different psychic skills. They may get their information through other senses besides sight. Some may hear spirit speaking to them. Some may get general impressions including touch, taste, and smell.

Some Clairvoyants use objects such as tarot cards or runes or other devices to help them in their work. However there are now more and more people who claim a direct connection to spirit and claim not to need any extra devices to help them deliver readings. Gone are the days of the crystal balls and eye of newt.

There have been some really good books and a movie or two on the clairvoyant skill of remote viewing. This is where Clairvoyants can see far away people and places without ever leaving their room. Believe it or not there have been documented cases of people being able to do this.

Of course we have all heard about people who could “See The Future”. What we know now is that each person has an infinite number of possible futures based on the day by day actions that they decide to take. In other words a clairvoyant can only tell you one possible future based on your current and probable future actions. Does that make sense?

If you have ever seen one of those shows about clairvoyants that help police investigate missing people you have seen Psychometry in action. The ability to read energy fields that surround objects. This seems to create a link to the missing person who owned the object.

While there does appear to be a huge amount fraudulent people claiming to be clairvoyant in order to take advantage of their fellow man we are now seeing more and more people who do seem to possess this and many other skills previously thought to be fantasy. There are many courses that can now be found that teach clairvoyant skills so try them out, have some fun, and see if maybe you are a Clairvoyant!

Don’t click on this link until It’s time to change your reality Right Today! Come see us at the Become A Clairvoyant website for more free information on increasing your psychic abilities and living your reality to the fullest. It’s time to take the next step so do it Today!

What Is The The Atkins Diet?

Thursday, December 15th, 2011

The short name for the ‘Atkins Nutritional Approach’ is the ‘Atkins Diet’, which was the brainchild of Doctor Robert Atkins. Dr. Atkins had gained a lot of surplus weight while he was studying in medical school and after reading about a new diet in a medical journal, he made up his mind to refine it and publish it as his own.

Atkins, in his Atkins Diet book, wrote that he believed that the prevailing theories about putting on weight were completely wrong. First, he dismissed the idea that saturated fats were bad; instead he said it was it was carbohydrates that led to the weight problems Americans have these days. Atkins declared that our obsession with avoiding fat actually aggravated the problem. He pointed out that the low-fat foods that were high in carbohydrates were not helping the nation, which probably meant that people on a diet often ate foods that were worse for them than what they had normally eaten.

The Atkins diet shifted the focus. Atkins said that by cutting out carbohydrates, people would burn their stored body fats. And, of course, if you lose the fat, you lose the weight. He said it was not only a question of eating less. Atkins held that a diet could actually help you burn calories and that The Atkins Diet supposedly burned more calories than were being consumed everyday. But the claims were disputed.

Dr. Atkins also promulgated the positive influence that his diet should have on people with Type 2 diabetes. Type 1 diabetes is a disease you usually get early in life, but Type 2 is more often closely associated with diet and surplus body weight. Therefore, it should follow that any diet that helps reduce weight, will help people with Type 2 diabetes. The Atkins diet is low in carbohydrates, which must be avoided by those with Type 2 diabetes regardless of the caloric intake, which the Atkins diet does, so Atkins claimed that those who suffer Type 2 diabetes would no longer need medication such as insulin. Doctors do not agree with Atkins on this point, although they do agree, that a lower carbohydrate intake helps control Type 2 diabetes, but there is no proof that carbohydrates cause diabetes.

What does one have to do to follow the Atkins diet? Well, it goes in four phases - Induction; On-Going Weight loss; Pre-maintenance; and Lifetime Maintenance. This is a brief synopsis of the first phase - The Induction Phase.

The Induction phase is probably the most difficult of the phases in the Atkins diet. Atkins is rather flexible about how long it should last ” but recommends two weeks. During this time, carbohydrate consumption should be severely curtailed ” up to 20 grammes per day. The goal is to enter a fat burning metabolic process called ‘ketosis’ which is when the body, being starved of glucose, begins to convert previously stored fat into the fatty acids needed to run the body. Weight loss during this period can be large ” some Atkins dieters report losses of 5-10 lbs. a week or more.

The goals of the three final phases in the Atkins diet are the learning of the ideal carbohydrate levels for the next two phases: continued weight loss and weight maintenance. Millions of people are still losing the weight they want to on this diet ” but be aware of the dangers of taking in too much cholesterol.

Is The Atkins Grapefruit Diet Really Genuine?

Saturday, December 10th, 2011

The Atkins Grapefruit diet is a diet plan, not endorsed by the company of Dr. Atkins, that plays on the popularity of the grapefruit diet and the Atkins diet name. A closer inspection of this diet shows that it may not be all it claims to be.

First of all, it’s pretty difficult to find information on the Atkins grapefruit diet plan. Smart people know that when someone is perpetrating a deception, or a con, they will often gloss over facts. This is what the Atkins grapefruit diet seems to do in an attempt to persuade people to associate it with two supposedly effective diets.

Is the Atkins Grapefruit Diet part of the Atkins Diet or endorsed by the firm of the late Dr. Atkins? The answer is no, not only is there no mention of the Atkins Grapefruit Diet on the Atkins website, but there is no fruit of any kind mentioned in the list of allowed foods in the Atkins diet Induction stage.

The induction phase recommends the following foods:

Fish of any kinds. Any fowl such as turkey and chicken. Any shellfish. Any meat such as beef or pork. Eggs cooked in any style, including fried. Cheese. Vegetables. Herbs and Spices. Fats and Oils. Low carbohydrate beverages, including diet soft drinks.

Did you notice something? No fruit is on that list. Later phases of the Atkins diet, however, do recommend limited quantities of fruits such as cantaloupe, strawberries and even lemon juice, and the pre-maintenance and maintenance phases even specifically permit small quantities of grapefruit. But when compared to the quantity of Grapefruit recommended on the Atkins Grapefruit Diet, once more there is a discrepancy.

The Atkins Grapefruit Diet recommends a cup of grapefruit juice or a cup of grapefruit sections, with 8 and 18 carbs respectively. Even the most generous phases of the Atkins diet recommends limiting grapefruit consumption to less than 8 carbs per day. That’s a direct contradiction of one diet with the other.

Most reasonable people would inspect the Atkins website itself the moment they heard of the Atkins Grapefruit Diet. When they found no mention of that diet on the site, a red light would go off and an alarm bell would ring.

In general, you should remember this: any diet that recommend very heavily on one foodstuff, such as grapefruit on a grapefruit diet, is not healthy for all but extremely short periods of time. The Atkins Grapefruit Diet is nothing to do with the Atkins diet, and may interfere with the efficacy of the Atkins diet in its early phases.

What Does It Take To Succeed In A World Of Faith?

Tuesday, October 18th, 2011

With the world’s economy in the tank, companies bankrupt, ,homes undergoing foreclosure proceedings and millions of people out of work with no end in sight, success becomes an interesting, if abstract, concept. Whatever could be out there waiting for you in the form of success? If there is something there, what are the barriers between you and achieving success?

Living in a World of Faith

There is one answer to the question, “What does it take to succeed” spoken by Bishop E. Bernard Jordan that may be worth musing over. His answer is we must be able to live between the world of fact and the world of faith.

We all live among oceans of facts. Some things get done, some don’t. Some things are possible, some not. There is fact and then there is fiction. In the factual world there is only so much one can accomplish.

One of the problems with living with facts that is hard to grasp for many is that our culture considers there to be an algorithm for everything in the natural world… You invest your money, it will grow. You graduate from college; you will land a job paying you a comfortable salary. You spend years and years learning the corporate culture and climbing the ladder to the top echelons of the corporation, and you will reach the pinnacle, but not without sacrifice.

How much should you sacrifice before it is too much? Living in a world of faith doesn’t ask about sacrifice. Living there is about how you can achieve success while enjoying what is valuable to you in your life. It is about things that bear no price tag like spending time with loved ones and having the time to watch your kids grow instead of spending all that time in a small, grey cubicle on the 8th floor.

With faith, the obstacle standing between you and every ounce of the life you want to live is your imagination and your belief that you can make it happen.

“Life is full of tough decisions,” states Jordan. “Some people go through life pleased that the glass is half full; others spend a lifetime lamenting that it’s half-empty. The truth is there is a glass with a certain volume of liquid in it. From there, it’s up to you! Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life’s coming attractions.”

Think about it. Are you living totally in a world of facts that are stifling your imagination, or are you freeing your imagination and living in a world of faith in yourself, in success and in your future?

In the event that you found interest in this article you could drop by the Bishop Jordan’s methods to learn more about Bishop Jordan.

Pregnancy And Acne

Thursday, September 8th, 2011

The treatment of acne is normally the right thing to do, if you have it, but not always. There are stages in a person’s life when you should not treat acne, just because you’d like to and, unfortunately, pregnancy is one of those times. Everyone knows, that this is a delicate part in a woman’s life and that therefore she has to take extra care of herself. If a pregnant woman wants to try to cure her acne, she must ensure that she equips herself with the right information.

This should also be borne in mind by those women who might get pregnant. The following are some medications for acne that are not recommended for use during pregnancy because they could be harmful to the fetus:

Hormonal therapy that could contain estrogen, flutamide, and spirolactone. They are definitely ruled out, because they are harmful and may lead to some complications for both the mother and the child. It is best regard it as a danger.

Isotretinoin treatment is something else that would put a pregnant woman’s life in danger. Isotretinoin can have negative effects too, especially for pregnant women and breast-feeders. It may cause severe health issues in both the mother and the unborn baby. Therefore, it is advisable that a woman who is taking Isotretinoin should be checked by an expert. Women who want to become pregnant must avoid the use of Isotretinoin, since it may just trigger negative problems not only for mother but most especially for her child.

Oral tetracyclines, which could be of doxycycline, tetracycline or minocycline, may not be a choice at all, because it is harmful. It has been shown that pregnant women or those who are breast-feeding must refuse the use of this drug at all costs, because it may have side effects that are nothing short of a threat to the life of you and your baby. However, the most common side effect is the permanent discoloration of your teeth or / and bone disorders.

Topical retinoids, such as tazarotene, adapalene and tretinoin, is the last group that must be refused. Just like the above-mentioned remedies, topical retinoids can be another hazard to you and your baby. Even if you are pregnant or not, it is not wise to use any of the treatments mentioned above.

For those women, who are pregnant and have acne, it really is best to stay away from the heavy treatments mentioned here. Instead, why not settle for traditional remedies, like keeping your hair off your face, washing your face three-four times a day, changing your pillow cases every day and eating more fruit and avoiding fatty, oily and spicy food.
